5th Annual Gualala Truck Light Parade and Tree Lighting! The Gualala Festivals Committee has announced that the 5th Annual Gualala Truck Light Parade and Christmas tree lighting will occur on Saturday November 29, 2008. Pre judging will take place at the Bedrock’s Gualala yard at 4PM. The parade starts promptly at 6 PM. As in years past there will be a plaque and Cash prizes for the best decorated Big Rigs and the best Trucks with Trailers. Entry forms can be printed out here or picked up at the Bedrock Products yard in Gualala or Pt Arena. Big Rigs and trucks with trailers are invited to participate. Santa will lead the parade and light the town tree which will be erected at the Gualala Community Center. The Gualala Festivals Committee is donating the camera and film so every child can have a picture sitting with Santa. The Judges stand will be at the Gualala Hotel, which is also planning a special night of fun. The Gualala Soroptimists will again be serving hot chocolate and coffee in front of the Gualala Post Office. Businesses are encouraged to decorate for the holidays. There will be awards for the Best Outdoor and the Best Indoor decorations. Judging will take place between November 27th and November 29th with the winners announced after the parade.
